successful outcome for car accident with high BAC
October 2022
Our client was involved in a single vehicle accident. After she was arrested at her home, she was found to have a BAC of 0.22. She was charged with Operating Under the Influence (OUI) and Failing to Report an Accident. We negotiated an outcome whereby the OUI charge was dismissed, and the client pled guilty to the charges of Failing to Report an Accident and Driving to Endanger for fines and a thirty-day license suspension. The client was spared the much more serious consequences of an OUI with the aggravating factors of an accident and high BAC, which would have included jail time and a much longer license suspension.
