won a jury trial and a PFA hearing
January 2020
Dan Wentworth won a jury trial, securing not guilty verdicts on all counts, as well as a related protection-from-abuse (PFA) hearing. Our client was charged with Aggravated Assault and Criminal Threatening with a Dangerous Weapon, after his girlfriend accused him of choking her and pointing a gun at her. In addition to the criminal charges, she also filed a PFA complaint against him. At the PFA hearing, Attorney Wentworth proved that our client's girlfriend was the one who had assaulted him, and so, the judge dismissed the complaint. At the criminal jury trial, the jury returned a verdict of not guilty after less than an hour of deliberation.
